HPC Training Course on “Competency Development for International Careers”
(Call for Participants)
This is an intensive three-day training program with a strong focus on developing “competencies” (professional performance capabilities), designed in close collaboration with the Human Resources division at UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) Headquarters. It is intended for individuals who are seriously considering building a career in international organizations or other international professional environments. Regardless of one’s area of specialization, the course aims to develop the core competencies that are universally required in international careers.

Mr. Shigeki Komatsubara, Resident Representative of UNDP Tanzania, will serve as the lead instructor throughout all three days. The program content has been fully developed in close cooperation with the UNDP Headquarters Human Resources division. Staff members from UNDP Headquarters are also scheduled to contribute as online lecturers.

- Format
The course will be conducted in English and primarily in person, while online participation will also be available upon request. The venue is planned to be a facility in central Tokyo.
- Participation Fee
JPY 50,000
(For those who wish to acquire basic knowledge of “competencies” prior to the training, HPC offers a video-based learning package [approximately 90 minutes] produced by HPC. The fee for this preparatory material is JPY 10,000. Please indicate your interest at the time of participation.)
- Eligibility
There are no specific eligibility requirements; however, the course is intended for individuals who are considering a career in international organizations or other international professional environments. Please note that the training will be conducted in English.
