Primary Course JFY2023 Application is Now Open to Non-Japanese Applicants
The Program for Global Human Resource Development for Peacebuilding and Development (Global Peacebuilders Program) has started accepting applications for the Primary Course JFY2023 from Non-Japanese applicants.
The Course is designed for people who have the strong will to build their careers in the field of peacebuilding and development to acquire the required practical knowledge and skills through participation in a 5-week Coursework in Japan.
This course expects to host around 12 participants from Japan and 10 participants from other countries. As Non-Japanese nationals, those from the following countries/ organizations are eligible to apply for this fiscal year’s Primary Course:
The Republic of Mali, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of South Sudan, the Republic of Kenya, Republic of Lebanon, the Republic of Haiti, Ukraine, the Solomon Islands, the Philippines, and the African Union Commission (AUC). Please note that for AUC, the application process is not open to the public and depends on arrangements with AUC.
Duration: Wednesday, January 17, 2024 – Friday, February 16, 2024 (approximately 5 weeks)
*Monday, February 19 and Tuesday, February 20 are optional.
Venue: Tokyo and Hiroshima City
Participation Fee: No fees charged for selected participants (Travel fees, travel insurance, accommodation fees and living expenses are covered through the program)
Application Deadline: Thursday, October 26, 2023 (9:00 am Japan Standard Time)
