Director of HPC gave lectures in African countries
Prof. Hideaki Shinoda, Director of HPC and Program Director for The Program for Global Human Resource Development for Peacebuilding and Development visited four African countries (Benin, Rwanda, Nigeria and Cameroon) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Dispatch of Japanese Policy Experts program “Peacebuilding and International Peace Cooperation Policy of Japan in Africa” for Japanese fiscal year 2018. He gave a total of seven lectures on the theme of “History of the Reconstruction of Japan” and “Current International Peace Operations” in each country from March 15th to 23rd. He also visited the PKO training centers which have been supported by the Japanese government since 2008 to deepen exchanges with relevant actors in the mentioned four African countries, in addition to Ethiopia where he stopped by in advance.
